Dzuleke Eco-Tourism was initiated in 2014, under the North East Initiative Development Agency (NEIDA) with funding support from the Tata Trusts. The primary focus is to achieve sustainable livelihoods and forest management through eco-tourism and conservation activities. As part of the initiative, Dzuleke Eco-tourism Board (DETB) was constituted to promote homestays. A certain percentage of the revenue generated goes to the DETB for the Dzuleke Development Fund and the remaining to the homestay owners. The initiative also promotes other activities such as trekking, picnics, and campings.
The homestays give visitors an opportunity to immerse in Naga village life and culture, experience the beauty of nature, and taste organic Naga food and hospitality while contributing to the sustainable livelihoods and financial resources for the locals.
Currently, there are 5 homestays in Dzuleke equipped with basic amenities. The charge is 700 INR per person per night with complimentary tea.
Additional info: There are no cellular networks in Dzuleke. All bookings are done via the phone number provided or email – email@example.com
